Community ownership: Melina Morrison on ABC Radio

In March 2021, Cootamundra Country Target is set to close. Community members have discussed the importance of having a ‘Target-like’ store in the town. In response to this, the community is exploring the option of setting up a community co-operative.

ABC Radio presenter Sally Bryant interviews BCCM CEO Melina Morrison about whether community ownership of retail businesses could be one solution to regional communities left without shopping facilities.
